Welcome to
Providence

A network of churches in Perth, discovering the rich truths of Jesus.

Who are we?

The first Providence Church was planted in 2009 with the aim of trying new things to reach an increasingly secular Perth with the gospel of Jesus.

Providence Midland was planted in 2011 in response to the fruit God was bringing there.

We formally became the Providence Church Network in 2018 as a means to support and enable fellowship between our small but — Lord willing — growing family of churches. In 2021 we planted a third church centre in the historic Perth suburb of Bayswater.

We firmly believe that healthy churches are the plant that grows most naturally from the seed of the gospel.

We want to shoulder the burden alongside other churches in Perth, to do our bit to see more gospel seeds planted, and more churches born as a result.

What do we
believe?

Christian

We believe the most important thing is that you know Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and follow him. First and foremost, we are Christian.

catholic

Not Catholic but catholic. We stand in the great tradition of all the churches who confess the central truths of the faith—the Trinity, the incarnation, the deity of Jesus—as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We are not Roman, but we are catholic.

evangelical

We believe that Christianity requires a personal response of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus. We believe this is a work of the Holy Spirit. We receive the Bible as God’s word written, containing all we need for life and godliness. We are evangelical.

reformed

We gladly identify with the reformed tradition, with its emphasis on the sovereign initiative of God in salvation. “Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to thy cross I cling.” We are reformed.
