Welcome!
It can be intimidating coming to anything for the first time, but you can expect that our welcomers will be ready to greet you and answer your questions when you arrive. At Providence Bayswater, we are committed to the idea that anyone can come along to our church – regardless of whether they are religious, skeptical, or not religious at all.

During the service
Our 10am services have a relaxed vibe.
You can expect:
- Music & worship
- The service to go for around 1 hour with a break for coffee
- A sit-down talk from the Bible
- Prayer
- Not to be asked for money
- Some weeks we will share in communion (which is of course optional)
- Some weeks will have baptisms, dedications, or an interview
- Tea, Coffee, and morning tea for all
During the service
Our 4:30pm service involves singing, praying, a kids program, reading the Bible, a sermon, and a meal together.
We have a special emphasis on making our service accessible to learners of English. This means:
- We circulate copies of the sermon beforehand for people to follow along.
- We speak clearly and simply up the front.
- We love having people from diverse cultural backgrounds up the front serving.
- We share meals together — because the best way to get to know someone and show someone you care for them is to share a meal together!
