The Road to
Glory:
Salvation, in Order

This term we’ll be taking a
deep-dive into what it means to be saved. Here are some resources to help you as we go.

We’re studying what in theology is called “Soteriology” or the study of salvation.

And in particular, we’re studying the ordo salutis, the order of salvation.

In other words, we’re interested in getting our heads straight on what happens when, by whom, and to what ends.

When does salvation begin?
Who starts the process—God or us?
What is the specific work of the Father? The Son? The Spirit?
What is regeneration and how is it different from justification?
Does election happen before calling?
Or is it the other way around?

Does the Spirit come into our lives before, during, or after conversion?
Is it once-saved, always-saved?
Or is it possible to walk away?

We’re calling the series “The Road to Glory”.

Our prayer is that you’ll get excited about where God is taking us, confident about the road we’re on, and motivated to share that news with others!
